INSURANCE

All removals are covered by two separate insurance policies, both of which are included as standard within your quotation.

Our Goods In Transit insurance will cover each vehicle (up to a 7.5T vehicle) to the value of £25,000. This will cover furniture and personal effects in the event of fire, collision or overturning of the vehicle whilst in transit with in the UK.

The second policy will provide limited cover per item due to damage caused by our negligence. This payment acts as re-imbursement for your home content insurance excess. This insurance does not cover items that you have packed yourself into boxes or bags, etc.

Further clarification and information will form part of your Formal Quotation Pack.

LATE KEY WAIVER

This waiver is designed to save you money should we be unable to gain access to your new home at the agreed completion time.

There may be a delay in the vendor moving out of the property or there may be a delay in the transfer of money within the removal chain such events can prove costly.

However, SmoothMove Of Berkshire Ltd are pleased to offer you a Late Key Waiver that will provide you with peace of mind if there is a delay in accessing your new property The benefits of the Late Key Waiver:

A waiting time is included from 14:00 to 17:00. This time would normally be charged at £75.00 per hour. Our crews will be on site to complete the removal until their allotted working hours under the Working Time Directive have expired.

Please Note: If the removal cannot be completed within the allocated day, a delayed access charge will be applied to complete the removal at a mutually agreed date and time.

POSTPONEMENT WAIVER

In the event of unforeseen circumstances that you may have to postpone your removal after it has been confirmed, making you liable for fees under our T & C's, SmoothMove Of Berkshire Ltd Postponement Waiver allows you complete flexibility and ensures that you would not incur any additional charges if your removal plans change at the last minute. This service is designed to save you money and give you peace of mind if the unexpected happens during the lead up to your move. This waiver will protect you up to 48 hours prior to the first day of your removal.
