Access to and from the doorway of your home is critical: please advise your neighbours in advance that a removal vehicle will be parked outside your home. If parking permits are required, this is your responsibility.

Our moving team are not allowed to enter a loft unless it is properly illuminated, floored, with a fixed ladder and has a safe point of entry. If this is not the case the contents of the attics/lofts should be sorted and placed in a convenient area prior to the arrival of our moving team.

If you have requested the relevant Packing Service these items can be left in cupboards/shelves ready for our moving team to pack. It is your responsibility to check all cupboards have been emptied.

Any clothing already on hangers may remain on them, as we will provide special wardrobe cartons into which these clothes will be packed on the morning of your move.

Under no circumstances will we move any flammable substances, old tins of paint, creosote, paraffin, matches, gas bottles or similar items.

These should all be disconnected, drained & dried prior to removal. Our moving teams are not permitted to connect or disconnect any mains electric or gas supplies. Fridges & freezers must be emptied and defrosted prior to the move.

Curtains, blinds, etc. must all be taken down prior to the arrival of our moving team.

Internal mechanical or electrical derangement of domestic or electrical appliances, unless related to external physical damage, is not covered under insurance.

If you have opted for the packing service you should ensure that items are unpacked onto a flat surface. If you have carried out your own packing please be aware that there is no insurance cover provided for these items.

It is your responsibility to be present throughout the removal to ensure that nothing that should be removed is left behind and nothing is taken away in error.

It is your responsibility to dismantle and re-assemble this type of furniture. However should you require assistance please advise the move consultant during the survey. Please note, due the nature of this type of furniture insurance cannot be provided for the assistance in dismantling and re-assembling of this furniture.
